Overview
This is a glorious light, spacious and relaxed house with all the comfort we have come to expect from the wonderful houses in the north east of the island. In a fabulous position above Avlaki beach, this is a most beautiful, comfortable and well presented family home, designed by a Norman Foster trained architect. There are breathtaking and far reaching views over olive groves towards Albania, yet Avlaki beach is just a 20 minute walk downhill (longer on the uphill return) or a short drive, while you can stock up on provisions by walking to the local village of Sinies.
From the moment we arrived we knew this was a special place – the glorious double-height sitting room leads out onto a covered terrace which has views across Kaparelli island and over to Albania. Just spectacular – we could have sat on that terrace all day and into the evening looking out at the stunning view.

The attention to detail is noticeable – beautiful walk-in showers in white bathrooms which are all en suite to spacious bedrooms, all with access to terraces via French doors and with views towards the sea. The expansive olive grove surrounding the house creates a wonderful setting and the garden and grounds provide privacy amongst nature.
This house is well thought out for families with young children with stair gates provided. The huge pool area is simply stunning, with the free-form swimming pool shaped around ancient olive trees and spacious seating and sun loungers surrounding. A perfect space for a large group.
