Thoughtful touches like underfloor heating and cooling in every room, Starlink internet and a Sonos sound system make it beyond comfortable. Outside, there’s a saltwater pool, shaded and sunny garden areas, long supper tables, a BBQ and an outdoor shower to rinse off after a dip in the sea or pool.

Situated in the middle of the island’s two sections, in the pretty harbour village of Vathy. The house is a three minute walk to harbour.
Supermarket, bars, cafes, restaurants and boat hire all within a five minute walk.
Fly to either Kefalonia or Preveza airport
Kefalonia is very close to Ithaca. From the airport take a taxi to the port of Sami (30 minutes drive). There are public ferries to Pisaeto in Ithaca twice a day or a sea taxi which will take you to Frikes in Ithaca in 30 minutes. (You can connect to Kefalonia airport via Athens.)
Preveza is on mainland Greece. From the airport take a taxi to Astakos (1 hr drive). There is a public ferry to Vathy which goes once a day.
We can help with all transfers from the airport to Ithaca.
A hire car is not necessary as the house is within walking distance of beaches, shops and restaurants. However we would still recommend a car to explore the rest if the island.
Originally built in 1925 by a local ship captain with a touch of Venetian influence, this home is wonderfully elegant. Recently fully renovated, it now feels beautifully high‑spec - comfortable beds, top‑quality linens and all the mod-cons - while still retaining its classical charm in the heart of Vathy. Set 40 steps above the nearest road access, the villa feels wonderfully private yet remains close to everything Vathy has to offer.
