You can find almost everything in the UK, with such a vast array of culinary delights on offer. Whether you’re settling in for a remote stay in the highlands with your own private chef, sampling some of the delicious regional seafood on the south coast or trying one of the many Michelin recommended (or even starred) restaurants to chose from in Somerset, you’re in for a treat as you’ll be spoilt for choice.

The UK has such a great choice of activities to suit everyone from the restless to those who simply want to relax. Scotland is perfect for the more adventurous/outdoorsy types – you can scale a Munro, mountain bike, hike, canoe and kayak to your heart’s content. In Somerset and Suffolk (and the UK in general!) there are so many beautiful walks, stunning castles and stately homes to visit, some excellent spas, great places for shopping, both high street and independent, and so many trendy coffee shops you won’t know which one to try first!

In the summer months, there is nothing better than an evening aperitif in the sunshine followed by a delicious meal – there’s everything from home-cooked, traditional pub food to fine-dining, whatever takes your fancy. If you’re in Salcombe, head to the seafront and chose a spot overlooking the water, watching the last of the colourful little boats head in for the day to the harbour.

For anyone wanting something a little livelier, cities like Bath, Bristol, Edinburgh, Cambridge and Norwich are not far from some of our properties.

Visit year-round, but its best in the Spring, Summer and Autumn in our opinion. The weather is famously unreliable but don’t let it dampen your spirits! We’re well equipped for a rainy day, but when the sun does shine there is truly nowhere better…
